Volunteer Experiencing Tanzania
Volunteer Review of Tanzania
This was the first time I travelled on my own when I ventured out to take this trip, but I will never regret taking it, I had such a great time and it made me appreciate things in my life more.
The best part of the trip in my opinion was sharing such an experience with such incredible people. The true highlight though was watching the children on the wards playing with the few toys I had been able to take with me, just seeing their smiles gave me such hope and it was a joy to be a part of that.
The children couldn’t speak any English, only their local language but we found ways to interact with each other, they were all so sweet and very intelligent and bright, although I am sure very few of the children will ever get to go to school.
The most exciting thing about being a volunteer in Tanzania during my stay was the busy market. It was hugely colourful and so beautiful, and to see the tribes right in the heart of the market, with all their funny clothes and jewellery, left me in awe. It was magical.
After my stay at the hospital, I travelled up to the Kilimanjaro region, it was amazing to see and it was also great to visit the parks in Tanzania, all the beautiful scenery and the plenty of animals was an amazing sight and experience.
Volunteering in Tanzania was so memorable and so amazing that when the time came, I didn’t want to leave.
