If you would like to get stuck in with a rewarding project,  are resourceful and would like the freedom and flexibility to try out your own ideas this Ghana volunteer placement is for you. Volunteering in Ghana can offer you an exciting a variety of options. Teach nursery rhymes to infants at day care centres, repair work at  schools, outdoor sport and games, teaching in a variety of different schools from poor schools, Islamic schools to technical colleges.

Coastal conservation and community opportunities are also available**. This exciting new coastal project  just 30 miles along the coast from the capital Accra offers a variety of hands-on work. From beach and estuary clearing, tree planting and teaching in poor schools, volunteers stay together at a modern shared volunteer house. Coastal placements are currently being arranged after arrival and can be added on at any time (subject to spaces) during your Ghana volunteer visit. Ask your coordinator on arrival for details and availability.

Volunteer in Ghana for the classic African volunteer experience where there is such a range of volunteer experiences to choose from. English speaking volunteer coordinators are never far away and are on hand to assist and advise on how to get the most out of your experience as a Ghana volunteer.

Volunteering in Ghana couldn't be easier and everyone stays together at a volunteer house. This provides our  Ghana work volunteers with plenty of opportunities to make friends (most people travel alone). At the weekends there are plenty of opportunities to get away to the nearby waterfalls for a splash around, into the local town to shop, do a mini safari or take a weekend break on the Gold Coast.
