WIN £500 in cash with Original Volunteers

Have you been on one of our volunteer programmes? If so, you probably took some photographs of incredible encounters , scenery, people and unforgettable encounters that have given you precious memories.

Why not share them with us and if yours is the winning photograph, you'll have the chance of winning £500 cash with OV to spend on whatever you want, whether it is another exciting volunteer trip or some much needed pampering after your recent adventure. Two runner -up prizes of two free weeks project fees at the Morocco volunteer project will also be awarded.

The competition is open to everyone who has participated at a project in 2011 and will be running from 29th September to 30th November.

Lucy Bowers, communications officer at Original Volunteers, said:  "This competition is a fantastic opportunity for people to share their experiences. Being able to see wonderful photos will hopefully encourage more people to take the plunge and get involved. I am really looking forward to seeing the entries come in, I am sure there will be some great pictures amongst them!"

How to enter 2011 Competition

1 - Just email your digital images as an attachment (high resolution, minimum 1 megabyte) to Lucy Bowers  on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

2 -  OR you can send us a CD or memory stick. We will return all items sent by first class post. If the items sent are valuable to you please send using special delivery at the Post Office enclosing a pre-paid special delivery sticker from the Post Office to ensure safe return from us back to you. Special delivery have tracking numbers and are usually more reliably delivered than regular post.

Terms & Conditions:

The photo competition will be running from 29th September to 30th November.

All entries which are accepted will be uploaded to the website. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges. The judges will select a shortlist of 12 photographs which in their opinion best illustrates the theme of the competition. The winner and runners up will be notified on or before Friday 9th December.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant. By entering the competition all entrants grant Original Volunteers the right to publish and post their entry on the website and other related material created by Original Volunteers. The prizes are as stated and cannot be sold or transferred.
