Volunteering in Mexico - Puerto Vallarta

Voluntary work in Puerto Vallarta

After nearly 5 years and over 700 volunteer visits, this volunteer programme comes to a end October 2011. All volunteers already on an arrivals list to arrive October 2011 onwards have will have been contacted regarding this. If you would like to volunteer in Puerto Vallarta please see similar projects in Guadalajara or Merida, also in Mexico.

Why has the volunteer programme in Puerto Vallarta ended?

The founder of the current orphanage in Puerto Vallarta (Sol - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it )  has been offered by the Mexican authorities an exciting opportunity to replicate the same orphanage in Guadalajara as there is a great need and good childrens homes are hard to find. Current volunteers in Puerto Vallarta will be moving across if they choose to do so and all new arrivals will be flying in to Guadalajara or swapping to the Merida programme.

Project updates from Mexico Puerto Vallarta

22/09/2011 From the 24th October Vanessa Rios Martinez will become the temporary coordinator for Original Volunteers in Puerto Vallarta while it winds up the volunteer activities in the town. The early volunteers from 2007 might remember her, Vanessa is Sol's daughter - the founder of the main children's home in Puerto Vallarta.
