Volunteer in Honduras

Honduras Overview
Our Volunteer work in Honduras offers it all, worthwhile environmental voluntary work, guaranteed sun, island location, azure sea and white sand beaches in a little visited corner of the Caribbean.
The project where you will be volunteering is located on the Bay Islands just off the Honduran Caribbean coast and offers a variety of experiences during your visit. Voluntary Projects in Honduras could involve showing visitors around the visitor centre, environmental education with small groups of local children, animal care, gardening, centre maintenance and general care, to exploring the mangrove swamps monitoring animal and plant habitats and population. This conservation centre will soon become your second home!
Away from your volunteer work, this small island also offers cafes and bars to relax in and recreational sports such as deep sea fishing, kayaking, snorkelling and diving are popular pastimes and can be easily organised.
Everyone is welcome here and our voluntary work abroad does not require any experience just a willingness to have a go and get involved. Come and take part in some volunteer work in Honduras away from the hustle and bustle on this tiny tropical island. Spaces are limited on this ever popular project so early booking is essential to reserve your bed in paradise!

Free time
When you’ve enjoyed the stunning beaches on your island, take a trip to the neighbouring island of Roatan, a beautiful white sand beach, with cool calming waters. This island has a peaceful laid back feel and many volunteers go here to relax, explore and involve themselves with different activities from spectacular diving opportunities amongst the numerous coral reefs to taking part in diving courses. Beautiful scenery is plentiful to see in Honduras from spectacular pine covered mountains; which are great for exploring and climbing, to beaches and waterfalls. You will never be short of something to during your free time in Honduras.
Not on your own
Although some volunteers travel with friends, the bigger majority travel alone. It is possible to get in contact with other volunteers before your travel, and a lot of people tend to do this. They make friends before they leave and then meet them when arriving or some even plan to travel together and set this up themselves.
Once in Honduras you will never be alone as you are put into groups and so always have people to support and help you; along with the support team and co-ordinators who are always nearby.
