This is your chance to help enhance the lives of the children of a small and remote
jungle town, situated only a stones throw away from Peru’s most mysterious rainforests
and dramatic river canyons. Here you will be surrounded by jaguars, tapirs and most
of the country’s 1700 bird species which make Peru the world’s second-
Working only part time you will have many opportunities in your free time to trek in the jungle, go white water rafting or explore the Indian villages.

Your experience
You will be helping a well established foundation which owns and manages a small educational centre and is supported by the Peruvian ministry of health. Volunteers can work as English teacher assistants at this centre or alternatively at a local orphanage. No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a commitment to have a go.

Volunteers should be 20 years+. Ideally volunteers will have some previous foreign travel experience, a strong personality to be able to work collaboratively in a team.

Peru at a glance...
Peru has more than its fair share of wildlife, history, landscapes and culture which means there is something for everyone in this ancient land. Much of Peru’s territory lies in the Amazon basin where this placement is located, surrounded by tropical forest, virtually untouched.
Not to be missed before leaving Peru: Machu Pichu, Inca Trail, Nazca Lines, Chan Chan, The Cordillera Blanca and Lake Titicaca.
Climate: The rainy season in from November to April. Festivals: Inti Raymi, 24 June 2006, Candelaria, February, Senor de los Milagros, October.
