You will need:
stiff card,
scissors,
coloured pens/pencils/paints,
glue
A4 paper

Instructions:

Give each child a piece of white A4 paper.

Ask them to design and colour a simple picture or pattern.

Now ask them to glue their pictures onto stiff cardboard.

Allow the glue to dry and then ask them to turn the picture over and divide the page into segments using a pencil.

(Encourage the children to use wriggly lines rather than just straight lines)

Next tell them to cut out the segments following the pencil lines.

Jumble the pieces up, turn over and see if the children can reform their picture.

At the end let the children store their puzzles in individually marked plastic freezer bags.
