Making and flying your boomerang can raise some interesting questions about aerodynamic designs.

You will need:
stiff card,
glue or stapler
colouring pencils/felt tip pens.

Instructions:

Cut the arms of the boomerang to the size you require.

The arms are usually about six times longer than the width.

Arms 5 cm x 30cm should work well.

Join the arms at right angles to each other in the centre.

If you use glue allow about 15 minutes to dry before the using the boomerang.

Make sure all corners and edges are smooth for extra safety.

Colour with crayons or markers.

Precautions to be taken when throwing your boomerang
Your boomerang should only be used outside.
Always stand a few metres apart from anyone else when throwing the boomerang and watch out for other boomerangs in flight.
Avoid areas with windows or other breakable objects
