Volunteer in Tanzania

Placement Overview

At this rural hospital you can be one of few volunteers to get a real glimpse of life in this developing country helping at this rural missionary hospital in a little visited area of Tanzania.

Your Experience

Here you will be given the opportunity to get involved with a variety of very different tasks from administration, computer work or general maintenance around the grounds-all areas where help is appreciated.
Based in Nyangao near the border with Mozambique and not far from the coast volunteers will get involved where their help is needed most. English is spoken by staff and you will not be asked to do anything that you have not been shown before or are not comfortable doing.

Placements are allocated after arrival to each volunteer based on the volunteers interests and skill level.

As a volunteer you will help to fill a gap and will assist Monday to Friday.

Volunteers stay on site at the hospital in basic shared rooms with  other visiiting guests.
